The Cross Carry facing outwardsSome children like to be carried facing outwards. You can do this, of course, with this sling, as well. However, we don't recommend this way of carrying - neither in the sling nor in any other carrying-device.This is because of the following reasons: The babies legs are dangling in the air, the child can't support itself and the Frog leg position is not possible. The rounded back is not supported. The baby is rather encouraged to form a hollow back. The baby can't check by a quick glance to your face about "dangerous" situations. And it also can't withdraw from all the stimulations around him, even when he gets tired. About this subject please also read the comment by Dr. Evelin Kirkilionis. |
